Diagnostic dyslexia assessment
The same full diagnostic assessment offered to families, arranged directly with the school.
Exam access arrangements (JCQ)
Assessment of individual pupils against Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations, to support applications for adjustments such as extra time or a reader/scribe.
Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) assessments
For post-16 students preparing to move into higher education. Additional screening, where needed, is charged separately.
How exam access assessments work
Exam access arrangements are assessed against Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations. An individual pupil assessment provides the standardised evidence your exams officer needs, but the school decides whether to apply, and the exam board decides whether to grant it. It's worth building "normal way of working" evidence over time, rather than only at the point of applying. Read more in my exam access arrangements guide →.
